Daniel Sprintzen, MSW, LICSW (He,Him) Founding Director & Clinical Social Worker
As a licensed, independent clinical social worker for over twenty years I have extensive experience in home-based, wrap-around work with teenagers and their families, both as a supervisor and as a clinician. I started Njovu Counseling and Consulting to support children, families and schools by providing the highest quality care through customizable services. Using authenticity, compassion and curiosity, we effectively engage with individuals and families, working with them to co-create and implement a plan for positive change.
As a trained and certified trauma responder, I am an expert in dealing with crises, including acute trauma, traumatic grief, and any of the highly stressful events that life may present. I have been certified in Psychological First Aid (PFA), Post Traumatic Stress Management (PTSM), received certification from The Institute of Meditation and Psychotherapy and completed Level I training in Internal Family Systems. I have extensive experience in dealing with immigrant populations, and am fluent in Portuguese.
Erika Reimers, MSW, LICSW (They,Them) Clinical Consultant for Metro West and The Greater Boston Area
Erika holds a LICSW with an MSW from Boston University and has been practicing social work since 2011 when they received their BSW from Eastern University. Erika Reimers has a passion for supporting children in their homes and communities in order to support healthier family dynamics. Erika’s career has included services to diverse populations in underserved communities. Erika has been providing in-home therapy services with children and families since 2013 and has been providing clinical supervisor for in-home therapist since 2018. Erika has done extensive work in the areas of foster care, trauma and farm-based therapy. They retain certifications in the following areas: Psychological First Aid, Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI), Trauma, REACH Beyond Violence Advocacy, and CPR/First Aid.
Marc Labb, MA, LMHC (He,Him) Clinical Consultant for Metro West and The Greater Boston Area
Marc has worked with children, teens and families for over ten years. After graduating from Assumption College with a major in Human Services and Rehabilitation, Marc obtained a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Framingham State University and eventually earned his LMHC licensure. Marc’s previous experiences include: clinician at a group home for latency and adolescent children; a therapeutic mentor; an in-home family therapist; a crisis support worker, an outpatient therapist and a farm based therapist. Marc engages with his clients through compassion and curiosity to effectively support the individuals and families he works with. Marc incorporates his high energy and active nature into his therapeutic work. He believes in an authentic strength-based approach in order to help support his clients.
Bernice Ruiz, MSW, LICSW (She/Her) Clinical Consultant for The Greater Boston Area
Bernice holds a M.S.W. in Clinical Social Work from Boston College, with a specialization in School Social Work and a B.A. in Education Studies and Public Policy from Brown University. She has over 15 years of dedicated service to children, youth, and families in various positions ranging from academic advising, college preparation, and school counseling. Bernice has become a trusted professional in supporting individuals’ journey towards improved mental health, navigating school-related issues, and contending with relationship challenges. She has interned as a clinician under the Franciscan Hospital for Children’s child wellness initiative, as well as a counselor for Aid to Incarcerated Mothers. She previously served as the Director of Support Services at the Steppingstone Foundation in Boston, then the Director of Counseling Services at the Cambridge School of Weston.
